The Inventor of the Mobile Phone Loves Android

I saw a post on Android Central that the Inventor of the Mobile phone has switched from the iPhone to a Motorola Droid.  The blog points to his twitter page (Yes he tweets at 82 years old), that “I love my MOT Android but wish it had some features of the iPhone screen. I will revisit iPhone and reportafter working Droid for a month.”

Now it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that he would like the Motorola Droid, he was the corporate director of Research and Development for Motorola a few (many) years back.

I hope I’m playing with the latest tech at 82.

Motorola Calgary / DROID Devour in Silver

BGR has some new photos of the Motorola Calgary in Silver – looks nice.

The device has Wi-Fi, GPS, a 1420mAh battery, but unfortunately no SIM card slot as it is not a global device. Whether the unit will come in multiple colors or not is not confirmed as these are still non-final units,  but I’d bet on it being available in black as well as silver.  They did say that the keyboard is nice to use, even if it is a Chiclet style.
