Boy Genius is not happy with Google Android
Boy Genius at the boygeniusreport.com has ripped into Google because as he says that the ”entire OS is fragmented, poorly driven, poorly policed, and because in typical Google fashion, you’re already on to the next thing before making this an absolutely flawless experience for users.” As much as I’m a fan of Android, everything he says in the post is spot on. The Android core team should take his advice and soak up his comments.

The os is hardly fragmented, and works just fine. They probably could work a little harder on the source and be a little better about releasing the source code to developers instead of only working with htc to showboat their new phone like they did with 2.1 and nexus.
noone else has officially gotten updated to 2.1 yet and to me with an open source os that is a huge problem.
you might be right about poorly policing but that’s a positive too. look how unhappy people are with how iron fisted apple is with all their stuff, especially with things like the app store.
you also wont see pretty much any development outside apple itself where android has a blooming developer community creating incredible updated roms as google failed by not giving us access as well as the manufacturers the source 2.1 in a reasonable manner. if htc can have 2.1 why couldn’t motorola have had access to the 2.1 source at the same time for us moto droid users.
other then that I say quit bitching android is awesome and only getting better.
